Privacy Policy
This policy covers the getvesperapp.com website and the Vesper desktop app for macOS and Windows, both operated by Vesper Technologies LLC.
Last updated July 29, 2026
The short version: this website collects nothing and sets no cookies. The app tells us who you are through your Whop account, and enough about how it is running for us to confirm your licence is valid and to show you which of your computers is currently working. If something goes wrong you can choose to send us a problem report, and one is never sent unless you ask for it. The work your modules actually do — the lists they read, the results they produce, the records they keep — stays on your computer. Apart from the text of an error a module stopped on, the only route by which any of it reaches us is a problem report you choose to send.
1. Who we are
Vesper Technologies LLC, 418 Broadway #7198, Albany, NY 12207, United States, is the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us at any time at support@getvesperapp.com.
2. This website
getvesperapp.com sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no fonts, scripts or images from anywhere else. There is nothing on this site to consent to, no banner to dismiss, and no profile of your visit is built.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. As with any web host, Cloudflare handles the ordinary details of a request — your IP address, which page you asked for, which browser you used — in order to send the page back to you and to keep the site available if someone attacks it. We do not use that data to identify individuals.
3. The desktop app
3.1 Your account
Signing in uses your Whop account, so there is no separate Vesper password to create, remember or lose. Whop tells us your account identifier, your display name and your profile picture, which is what the app shows in the corner once you are in. Whatever proves you are signed in stays on your computer, encrypted by your computer's own secure storage, and is used to confirm your licence is current and which modules you are entitled to install. We never see your Whop password.
3.2 What the app tells us while it runs
While Vesper is open it checks in with us. That is what keeps your licence valid, what lets you see at a glance which of your computers is running and which is idle, and what lets us tell whether a particular version of a module is failing for everyone or only for you. What it sends is a short status summary, in these categories:
- Which version of Vesper you are on, and which system you are running it on.
- An identifier for this run of the app, so that two computers signed in to the same account can be told apart.
- Which modules are running right now, which version, which run it is, and when each started.
- Periodically, which modules you have installed, how many times each has succeeded and how many times it has failed, when each last ran, and — if one stopped with an error — the message it stopped on.
Apart from that error message, this is counts and identifiers rather than content. It does not include the email addresses, postal addresses, proxies or any other list a module was working from, it does not include anything a module saved on your computer, and it does not include what any run actually produced. We can see that a module ran two hundred times and failed twice. We cannot see what it did.
3.3 Problem reports
When a run goes wrong you can use Report a problem rather than trying to describe the fault from memory. The app packages up what we would otherwise have to ask you for: the note you wrote, how serious you said it was, which module and version was involved, which run it was, your Vesper version and which system you are on, the settings that module was using, the error itself, and the last stretch of that run's record so we can see what led up to it.
Before any of that leaves your computer, credentials are stripped out of it. Any keys or passwords you have saved in Vesper are removed, and so is anything else that has the shape of a credential. Email addresses and postal addresses are deliberately not removed, because for many modules those are the whole subject of the run and a report with them taken out would tell us nothing about why it failed. The app tells you the run record is attached before you send it, and a report is only ever sent because you chose to send it.
Reports are read by the people who maintain Vesper and its modules. The companies that help us run the service are listed in section 5.
3.4 Signs of tampering
Vesper checks that neither it nor the modules it runs have been altered since we published them, which is what stops a modified copy of a module doing something you did not ask for under your account. If one of those checks fails, the app tells us what kind of problem it saw and when, against your account, so we can work out whether we have shipped something broken or whether a licence is being misused. These notices record that something looked wrong. They do not carry the contents of your work.
3.5 What stays on your computer
The following stays on your machine unless you choose to include it in a problem report or export it yourself. It is not backed up to us, and there is no version of it on our side to leak, subpoena or lose:
- Everything your modules record, kept in a single file on your computer.
- Your saved lists — email addresses, proxies, postal addresses.
- The keys and passwords you have saved for the services your modules sign in to, encrypted by your computer's own secure storage.
- The full record of every run, and the live output while a run is happening.
- Your module settings.
4. Why we process it, and on what basis
| Purpose | Data | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Signing you in and confirming your licence | Your Whop account identity, and an identifier for this run of the app | Performance of our contract with you |
| Running the service and showing your device state | The status summary described in section 3.2 | Performance of our contract with you |
| Diagnosing and fixing faults you report | The problem reports you choose to send us (section 3.3) | Performance of our contract; your request |
| Protecting the software from tampering and licence abuse | Notices that something has been altered (section 3.4) | Our legitimate interest in protecting our product |
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. There is no long list of partners here. We use a small number of service providers, each handling data only in order to provide their service to us:
| Provider | What for |
|---|---|
| Whop | Account sign-in, subscriptions and billing |
| Cloudflare | Hosting and protecting this website and the service the app talks to |
| Atlassian | The issue tracker that problem reports are filed into |
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
6. How long we keep it
Account and licence records are kept for as long as you have a subscription with us, and afterwards for as long as we need them for tax, accounting and legal purposes. The status summary in section 3.2 is not a history: each check-in replaces the one before it, so what we hold is a picture of how things stand now rather than a log of everything you have ever run. Problem reports and tampering notices are kept for as long as they are useful for fixing and protecting the product.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. If you are in the EEA or UK you may also complain to your data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the rights to know, delete and correct, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them — and we note again that we do not sell or share personal information.
To exercise any of these, write to support@getvesperapp.com. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows, and we may need to verify your identity first. Note that some of your data lives in your Whop account rather than with us, and requests about billing may need to go to Whop.
8. Security
The keys and passwords you save are encrypted at rest by your computer's own secure storage, rather than sitting in a file anyone can read. Everything the app sends us travels over an encrypted connection. Credentials are taken out of a run's record before it can be sent anywhere. And when a module is installed, Vesper checks that what it downloaded is exactly what we published and refuses it if it is not, so a module altered on its way to you never reaches the point of running. No system is perfect, but these are the measures we take.
9. International transfers
We operate from the United States, and our service providers may handle data in the United States and elsewhere. Where personal information is transferred out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses where they apply.
10. Children
Vesper is not intended for children. Our Terms of Service require you to be at least 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided us information, write to us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page, and for a significant change we will say so in the app or by email. Continuing to use Vesper after a change means the updated policy applies.
